Esteli is the town every serious Nicaraguan cigar comes out of, and naming a blend after it is Casa Nicaragua putting its own address on the band. The wrapper is an Ecuador Habano rosado, a shade redder and rounder than the standard habano.
The cold draw is sweet raw dough. Lit, it goes to cookie dough and warm white bread, with a steady kick of black pepper that keeps everything defined. Orange peel flickers in and out, then chestnut and nuts build through the second half with a turn of vanilla at the end. Barely sweet by design, and it holds that line the whole way, which is exactly what makes it worth paying attention to. Shipped nationwide across Japan from RACC.
