The Basilica line honours Emmanuel Casdagli, the patriarch who built the family villa. Basilica comes from the ancient Greek for Royal House. The flared foot on every Basilica is there for a reason, it leads with filler so the cigar eases you gently into its full flavours. The C blend is a real feat of blending, up to seven tobaccos, with one of its two binder leaves giving a signature bright lift.
Expect cocoa and dark chocolate wrapped around a lively citrus tartness that keeps everything fresh and moreish. A rich, complex boutique cigar for a proper sit-down smoke, shipped across Japan from RACC.
