Jeremy Casdagli built this limited release on the Villa Casdagli Toro blend, then added a little extra Nicaraguan Estelí ligero to carry the size. It is rolled at Tabacos de Costa Rica in San José. The salomone shape is the whole point here. You begin at the narrow tapered tip, where the smoke is concentrated and the strength shows itself early. A few puffs in, the cigar widens and opens right up, the edge falls away, and the flavors start moving across the palate. Very few shapes give you back this much.
Vanilla and brown sugar lead, milk chocolate sits underneath, and a long run of hazelnuts grows richer as the ring gauge widens. Medium to full, generous, the kind of cigar you clear an afternoon for. Shipped nationwide across Japan from RACC.
