Ten years ago Cavalier Genève was a Swiss brand having its cigars rolled in other people’s factories. Today it owns Fábrica Centroamericana de Tabaco in Danlí and ships to more than sixty countries, and this is the cigar Sébastien Decoppet made to mark the distance. Eight tobaccos from four countries in the filler, four of them ligero, under a Nicaraguan Jalapa binder and a Honduran Habano wrapper from the Jamastrán valley. Production ends in December 2026 and the cigar will not be made again.

For a blend carrying four ligeros it is astonishingly sweet. Vanilla first, and plenty of it, then a wave of blood orange and grapefruit so clear you could name the fruit blind, bright citrus riding on top of brown sugar and cinnamon. Walnut fills in the body through the middle and keeps the sweetness honest. Long, rich, celebratory, and it tastes like a cigar someone made for themselves after ten years of making them for everyone else. Shipped nationwide across Japan from RACC.
