Project Broadleaf is the first time Cavalier Genève has worked with Connecticut Broadleaf, and the way they do it says a lot about the house. Good Broadleaf is hard to come by, so instead of one big line they release four small cigars a year, each with its own shape and its own blend, and bring them back every year. Skywalker is the first of the four. The wrapper is fermented for three years, then rests another year in bale before it is rolled over a Mexican San Andrés binder and fillers from Estelí, Jalapa and the Jamastrán valley at Fábrica Centroamericana de Tabaco in Danlí. The first run in 2025 was a hundred cabinets of fifty and sold out at the trade show. The 2026 run is twice that. Sébastien Decoppet calls this series some of the most intense cigars Cavalier has ever made.

It opens on cocoa nibs and walnut, dry and dark, then a red wine note settles in and gives the middle its depth. The sweetness that comes with it is banana bread, warm and a little spiced, and that is where this cigar lives for most of its length. It is creamy the whole way through, which is what makes the climb easy to miss: the strength builds steadily toward the end, and by the last third you feel it. Medium to full, finishing full.
