This is the most acclaimed cigar Dapper makes, and it is not one for the faint of heart. It gives new meaning to the word intensity. Think of the French dark forest gateau, the chocolate cake with a rich cherry filling, cousin to the German Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte. That is exactly where this cigar takes you.
It is death by chocolate in the best way, an overflow of deep dark chocolate with dark cherry and dark red fruits arriving on the retrohale, soaked and spirited like cherries left to sit in kirsch. For me it carries a memory, my father coming home late from hunting with pastry from a friend who was a patissier, more often than not this very cake. Not a beginner cigar, but a truly remarkable one, shipped nationwide across Japan from RACC.
