Epernay is the town at the heart of Champagne, and the name is meant as a promise about the character of the cigar rather than a boast. It is also the odd one out in the whole Illusione range. Every other line moved to Nicaragua years ago, but Epernay stayed in Honduras at Raices Cubanas, which is where it has always been made. Le Monde means the world, and at 52 ring it is the widest of the family.
Built to be soothing rather than demanding. Cream and cocoa carry it from the start, pecans and a bright citrus lift keep it moving, and a soft green tea note runs quietly underneath the whole way. It closes on French vanilla and a long latte finish. Mild to medium across an hour and twenty minutes, which makes it the one you light when you have nowhere to be.
