OneOff has a strange history. It was started by Andrea Molinari, who ran a La Casa del Habano in Italy and wanted cigars of his own made in Cuba. That proved impossible, so he went to Plasencia instead. The brand changed hands twice before Giolito bought it in 2017 and brought it back the following year in eight of the original sizes. The Cartuchos is the shortest and widest of them.
Creamy from the very first draw and it stays that way. Cinnamon, milk and dark chocolate arrive together, which is an unusual trio and the reason this one stands out. Underneath it all sits the taste of warm bread, which makes the whole cigar feel like something out of a kitchen rather than a humidor. Medium, forty minutes, and a lot of comfort in a small package.
