Dion Giolito names his cigars after things governments would rather you forgot. MJ-12 is the Majestic 12, the committee that Truman supposedly assembled in 1947 to work out what came down at Roswell. Whether you believe a word of it, the cigar is real enough. It is part of the Original Documents core line, rolled at Aganorsa Leaf's own factory in Esteli, which is the same tobacco operation behind the Aganorsa cigars on this site.
It arrives with a genuine wallop of red pepper that settles inside the first centimetre. What follows is far softer than the opening suggests: deep cocoa, a dry biscuit base and a caramel sweetness that builds steadily to the end. Medium to full across an hour and fifteen minutes, box pressed, and one of the most rewarding cigars Illusione makes. Shipped nationwide across Japan from RACC.
