Cigares Prive is where Giolito puts the small runs, the blends built around one particular wrapper leaf that he could only get so much of. Redondo simply means round, which separates it from the box pressed cigars in the range. This one wears a Nicaraguan Corojo 99 over filler from the Aganorsa farms.
Complex from the first inch and it does not sit still. Sweet cocoa arrives early with bright sparks of citrus cutting across it, then espresso deepens the middle while a warm baking spice works the edges. The smoke itself is smooth and lightly oily, and the finish balances the sweet against the spice rather than letting either win. Medium, forty five minutes, and available in very small numbers.
