The cg:4 has been called the White Horse since the beginning, and it is the cigar that put Illusione on the map. It took seventh place in Cigar Aficionado's top twenty five back in 2007, when almost nobody had heard the name. This is the maduro version, a capa fina grade Mexican San Andres leaf over the same Nicaraguan core.
It runs velvety from the first draw. Dark chocolate leads, comfortable and warm black tea sits behind it, and raisins and cinnamon take turns coming forward as the cigar moves. The best way to describe the whole thing is a caramel bar wrapped in chocolate. Medium to full, an hour, and it will make sense to you within three puffs why this one has lasted.
