Casdagli Traditional Line Grand Café Lancero · 19cm × ring 39

The Traditional Line is where Casdagli began: the blends first made in Cuba in the 1990s, named for the family's years at Villa Casdagli in early twentieth-century Egypt, now rolled by Hendrik Kelner Jr. at the Kelner Boutique Factory in Santiago, Dominican Republic. The Grand Café is its lancero.

A lancero carries more wrapper per draw than any other shape, and here that wrapper is Brazilian Cubra, over a Dominican binder and filler from the Dominican Republic, the USA and Nicaragua. The result is a cigar that speaks clearly: French vanilla and French toast, butter, brown sugar, cereals and almond, and a note of sweet corn that stays with you. Medium in body, slow and cool in the burn, and one of the most elegant cigars in the humidor.

カスダグリ トラディショナル・ライン グラン・カフェ ランセロ · 19センチ × リング39

トラディショナル・ラインは、カスダグリの原点です。一九九〇年代にキューバで初めて作られたブレンドを、二十世紀初頭のエジプト、ヴィラ・カスダグリで過ごした一族の日々にちなんで名付け、いまはドミニカ共和国サンティアゴのケルナー・ブティック・ファクトリーで、ヘンドリック・ケルナー・ジュニアが巻いています。グラン・カフェは、そのランセロです。

ランセロは、どの形よりも一吸いあたりのラッパーの割合が大きいシガーです。ここではそのラッパーがブラジル産クブラ。ドミニカ産バインダーと、ドミニカ、アメリカ、ニカラグア産のフィラーを包んでいます。生まれるのは、はっきりと語る一本。フレンチバニラとフレンチトースト、バター、黒糖、穀物とアーモンド、そして余韻に残る甘いとうもろこし。ミディアムボディ、ゆっくりと涼しく燃え、ヒュミドールの中で最も優雅な一本のひとつです。
