The Connecticut wrapper on this cigar is clean and taut, with a draw that opens up immediately, no fussing required. From the first third, it gives you cream on the front of the palate, a light honey sweetness that stays honest and does not cloying. Grass comes through in the middle, the fresh-cut kind, and underneath it sits something closer to brown sugar dissolving in warm milk. Around the midpoint, a latte quality takes hold, soft espresso and steamed cream folded together, with a faint white oak sweetness that reads more like vanilla extract than anything sharp. The ash holds long and grey-white, and the burn stays even the whole way.
This is a morning cigar that does not demand anything from you. It is also a late-night cigar if the mood is low-key and the pour is light. The price point makes you suspicious at first, and then the first inch makes you feel slightly foolish for doubting it. Casa Nicaragua built something genuinely luxurious here, the kind of cigar that makes the brand look better than the cost suggests. Romain was right to call it luxury. It earns the word.

これは、朝に何も求めてこない一本だ。夜のトーンが穏やかで、グラスの中身が軽めのときにも合う。値段を見ると最初は半信半疑になる。でも最初の一インチで、疑った自分が少し恥ずかしくなる。カサ・ニカラグアはここで本当に贅沢なものを作った。コストが示す以上にブランドを輝かせる一本だ。ロマンが「ラグジュアリー」と呼んだのは正しい。この言葉を使うだけの価値がある。
