The Story
The Vater line honors Austria’s Field Marshal Joseph Radetzky von Radetz, one of the brilliant minds behind the Coalition’s victory over Napoleon at the Battle of Leipzig in 1813. Affectionately called “Vater” (Father) by his soldiers, Radetzky was both a master strategist and a beloved leader. Jeremy Casdagli created this line to pay homage to the Napoleonic generals who carried their sabres into battle and, in many cases, their love for tobacco.
Blended at the renowned KBF factory by Hendrik Kelner Jr., the Vater Figurado combines rare Zimbabwean leaf with Dominican and U.S. fillers, wrapped elegantly in an Ecuadorian capa. This composition gives the cigar its unique depth, strength, and balance—perfectly reflecting the sophistication of Radetzky’s legacy.
