The maduro side of the Basilica C, and one of the most complex cigars in the whole range. The Basilica line honours Emmanuel Casdagli, the family patriarch, and that signature flared foot eases you gently into the flavour from the very first light.
This one is a kaleidoscope. One moment it is deep and savoury, with hearty grain bread, roasted nuts, and malt, the kind of warm baked note that carries me back to the sourdough my father brought home for our long Sunday lunches. Turn it over and it becomes dessert: café au lait, cream soda, dark chocolate, candied lime, and blueberry.
