A tribute cigar made for the opening of Club Mareva Zagreb, in honour of the late father of the club's founder, Marko Bilić. The Jure is the house cigar of the Club Mareva private network, first launched in Split, Croatia, and its silky Ecuadorian Claro Colorado wrapper looks the part before you even light it.
The profile is refined and beautifully Cubanesque: almonds and creamy vanilla, with a warm, tangy rye bread note that takes me straight back to the sourdough my father brought home for our long Sunday family lunches, the ones that felt endless to a seven year old and that I would give anything to sit through again now. A gentle baking spice carries a long, elegant finish. A rare boutique cigar for the smoker who wants something genuinely different, shipped across Japan from RACC.
